Georgian Triple Swivel Locket Fob
Georgian Triple Swivel Locket Fob
A truly incredible fob locket. We love the way this fob swivels beautifully on serpent heads suspended from an acanthus leaf bail. The three panels are of bloodstone, carnelian and chalcedony, the chalcedony engraved with the intaglio of initials surmounted by a crown. It opens by a concealed hinge on the bloodstone panel, revealing a hidden compartment - perfect for enclosing a small momentum or message. When found, the locket held a lock of hair tied with a silk thread.
Acanthus leaves are known to symbolize immortality. The serpent heads symbolize loyalty and immortality.
